International student FAQs
Why are my tuition fees so much more than domestic student tuition fees?
The university does not receive government funding for international students; therefore, the non-subsidized cost of your education is passed along to you.
What if I am late paying my tuition fees?
Failure to pay tuition fees may result in de-registration from registered courses. You will also be unable to register for future courses or view your grades until the tuition fees have been paid.
Late fees will be applied to your account if your tuition is not paid by the due date. Interest will be calculated at a monthly rate of 1.5 per cent compounded on the monthly balance. This will be added to your tuition account on the last day of every month.
Can international students apply for the University Works (part-time jobs on campus) program?
Yes. International student jobs are limited, so apply early! To apply, complete the application available on MyCampus under the UOIT SAFA tab. The application is available before the start of each academic year (fall and summer).
Are there any bursaries available to international students?
Yes. There are a limited number of bursaries available to international students to assist with emergency situations.
To apply, complete the application available on MyCampus under the UOIT SAFA tab.
