Eligible students must have a minimum of 75 per cent in their final year of high school, have demonstrated financial need, and received a recommendation letter from a teacher or guidance counsellor. Students must also have an official application to the university on file to be considered.

Award recipients will be invited to participate as mentees in Student Life's peer mentorship program during their first year of studies and will be encouraged to act as mentors in subsequent years.

Each award is renewable for students who maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (good standing), retain financial need status, and participate as mentees and/or mentors in the Student Life peer mentorship program.
